A few weeks ago we started on what we thought would be a simple Art activity, making jellyfish. Instead of using the traditional paper bowl, we thought it might be a little more exciting to make the bell using paper mache. The children had mixed emotions about doing this. Many did not like the feeling of the glue on their hands.
Our next job was to paint the bell, but it needed two coats!
Finally we glued our tentacles. Some children chose cellophane, some used crepe paper and others used a combination of both.
The end result has made the process worthwhile. We're pretty pleased with our jellyfish!
