We talked about vowel sounds and names, remembering that when a word has a 'bossy e' on the end the 'e' says nothing but it makes the vowel say it's name.
We put on our special searching glasses....
and practised with some words on the whiteboard. Then it was time to search for words around the room. Some words were 'Bossy e' words and some were not.
I wonder what words we will find the next time we search!
