To make completing the Maths Home Activities easier, I have created a new tab on our blog. This is where you will find an outline of the activity so that you can comment underneath each task. Hopefully, this will make the Maths Home Activity easier to find.
My main reason for this aspect of the Homework is for parents to engage in conversations with their children about the Maths they are learning at school. Much of our work is play based, and I try hard to make what we do relevant and meaningful so that Maths is enjoyable and it makes sense.
By adding a home perspective we are also showing the children that Maths is everywhere; that it has meaning not just at school but at home as well. If your child completes the home activity, but you are not able to comment on the blog, please feel free to have them complete the task in their Homework book.
