MATHS HOME ACTIVITY: What can you split in half?

Sandwiches, rissoles and fruit are great examples of objects that can be cut into two equal parts, are there other objects that you can find at your house?
What about a collection of objects, such as dolls, marbles or cars? How would you make two equal groups out of a collection?
Have a think about what you can find at home that you were able to "cut" in half and share what you did as a comment below.

  4. Olivia – We cut an orange into 2 equal parts.
We also split my Shopkins into 2 equal groups.
We counted each group to make sure they had the same (even) amount.
