Learning about Length

This week we started measuring lengths. We started by measuring the height of each person on a height chart then we compared and ordered from smallest to tallest. We did the same with various pieces of paper. Next week, we will continue our study of length by using informal units to measure the lengths of different objects around the room. Perhaps you could conduct similar investigations at home.

We will measure the height of each student again at the end of the year to see how much they have grown.
