Patterns at your house

Patterns really are all around us. They help us to understand the way things work and they enable us to predict future outcomes.

At school we've talked about the weather patterns created by the seasons, the days of the week and the months of the year. We've observed the brick work and talked about why the bricks are laid following a particular pattern.

Perhaps there is a pattern that you notice at your house. Maybe there is a pattern in the carpet or on your driveway. Does your neighbour's driveway have a pattern on it? Is it similar or different to yours?

What other patterns do you notice at your house?
