Numbers that Equal 10

Today we started to investigate numbers that add up to make 10. We started with 10 counters each and eaprated them into a 1 and 9, then 2 and 8, 3 and 7, 4 and 6 then 5 and 5. We observed that even though the size of the groups changed, we still had the 10 counters we started with.
